PSYCH 310 Origins of Personality
Psychology (2009-2010)

Why do we have the personalities we do? A long-standing assumption has been that parental nurture during the early years of life is a major factor determining personality. Evidence for and against this claim will be reviewed. We will also consider alternative claims that personality is largely shaped by biology as well as cultural conditions beyond the home.
Prerequisites: PSYCH 211.
